Dr. Deighton has more than 28 years of experience in clinical practice and was the Founding Program Director of the St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Family Medicine Residency in Howell, Michigan. He brings expertise in assisting new and established residency programs in meeting ACGME accreditation standards, implementation of curricular and program development, and focus on continuous quality improvement. He has served as Vice Chair for Clinical Services for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine and his clinical practice is certified as a NCQA Level III Patient Centered Medical Home. Dr. Deighton’s recent consultation services include the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, Baylor-Scott and White Health System, and the Geisinger Health System as well as numerous community hospitals with existing residency programs. He has more than 5 years of consultation services with Germane Solutions and is based out of Livonia, Michigan.
Dr. Deighton has served on the Board of the Henry Ford Physicians Network and was the founding Chairman of the Board of Infinity Primary Care. He is the Providence Hospital Family Medicine Clerkship Director for the Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine and the American University School of Medicine.
Dr. Deighton is Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency training at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. He holds his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his Masters Degree in Immunology and Microbiology also from Wayne State University School of Medicine.
